Vacancy Quant Business Analyst
As a Quantitative Business Analyst at Energy Essentials, you work at the intersection of business, data, and technology within the energy sector. You contribute to the design and implementation of a state-of-the-art web-based enterprise platform (Vertex), working closely with both clients and internal teams. Your responsibilities include:
- Translating complex business requirements into clear functional specifications for software development
- Configuring and optimizing the platform using queries, scripts, and business rules
- Working on use cases across the entire energy value chain: pricing, trading, forecasting, procurement, and flexibility optimization (e.g., batteries, wind, solar)
- Collaborating with developers, roadmap teams, and clients to ensure seamless integration and maximum value creation
- Supporting data-driven decision-making by structuring data and enabling advanced analytics, dashboards, and algorithmic solutions
- Contributing to agile project delivery and continuous improvement of processes and systems

What do you bring?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. STEM)
- 2–5 years of experience in a data-driven or analytical role, preferably in the energy sector
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in SQL, Python, or similar tools
- Experience translating business needs into functional and technical solutions
- Familiarity with agile/scrum environments and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Ability to write specifications and support testing of software solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive mindset, team-oriented, and continuously seeking improvement
- Affinity with or knowledge of energy markets (e.g. forecasting, trading, renewables)
