VACANCY QA AUTOMATION
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in safeguarding the quality of Vertex, the proprietary software platform developed by Energy Essentials for the energy market. You will work closely with software engineers, data specialists, and product teams to ensure business-critical systems perform reliably in a fast-changing and highly data-driven environment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions using Python.
- Expanding and improving test coverage across web applications, APIs, and platform components.
- Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
- Identifying software defects early and supporting root-cause analysis.
- Creating and maintaining test strategies, test plans, and test documentation.
- Collaborating with Developers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Contributing to continuous improvements in test automation, development processes, and software quality.
- Supporting quality assurance for complex systems involving real-time data processing, forecasting, trading, pricing, balancing, and billing processes.
- Taking ownership of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and test automation frameworks.
- Experience with Selenium, Jenkins, and modern CI/CD environments.
- Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, ArgoCD, Ansible, Jira, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and testing methodologies.
- Experience creating test plans, test documentation, and executing functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Ability to analyse complex technical challenges and translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Knowledge of security testing principles and business-critical applications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset, critical thinking skills, and a continuous improvement mentality.
- ISTQB certification is considered a plus.
